VÍDEO-CREATION & FASHION



                       

KATHRYN FERGUSON. Belfast. Filmmaker, curator and lecturer. Kathryn graduated in Fashion Communication from Central Saint Martin’s (London) and completed a Masters in Communication, Art and Design at the London Royal College of Art, where she specialised in experimental film. She has made films for fashion designers and musicians including Chloé, Richard Nicoll, Katie Eary, Charly le Mindu, Lady Gaga and Domino Records. Her work has been featured on SHOWstudio, Dazed Digital, the BBC and in Vogue and has been screened at centres and festivals including the Berlinale, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Film Institute in London, the Pompidou Centre and ASVOFF in Paris.

Since 2007, she has regularly worked for the  British Council and the British Fashion Council as a curator and organising screenings, lectures and workshops on fashion films, both in the United Kingdom (ICA - Institute of Contemporary Art and the British Film Institute) and internationally (Bosnia, the Philippines, Nigeria, Portugal…). She is on the curatorial panel of Fash/on Film Festival in conjunction with London Fashion Week. Kathryn has recently curated “Dressing the screen” an international travelling exhibition commissioned by the British Council that opened in Beijing (China) in October 2012.

She lectures at both the London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design in London.

ZUHAR IRURETAGOIENA. Zarauz (Gipuzkoa), 1981. Zuhar graduated in Fine Arts and DEA (Department of Art and Technology) from the University of the Basque Country and has a Masters in Digital Arts from  Pompeu Fabra IUA/UPF, Barcelona. Her list of awards include the Muro Guggenheim award (from the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao), Ertibil prize (2009) and first prize at the Gipuzkoa New Artists Competition.

JOSÉ MORRAJA. Castellón, 1979. José Morraja graduated in Fine Arts from Valencia University and honed his skills abroad in France and Germany. He combines artistic projects in the fields of photography, video and installation with fashion and advertising commercial work. His work has been published in magazines including Neo2, H Magazine and Vanity Fair, and Diesel, Armani, Chanel, Biotherm, Puig are among his clients.

SERGIO OJEDA.  Madrid, 1976. This visual artist graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University in Madrid. Sergio has put on many individual exhibitions.  His work appears in collections including the Contemporary Art Collection of the Madrid Autonomous Community and the Obra Social Cajamadrid collections. He has produced fashion films for different fashion designers (Maya Hansen at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the designer Assaad Awad and the actress Rossy in Palma in the promo video for her first collection “Metamorphosis”). He is currently represented by Galería ASM28 in Madrid.

IXONE ELZO.

Hondarribia (Gipuzkoa), 1982. Ixone graduated in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country and in Fashion Design from the European Design Institute, Barcelona. She works in the field of art and fashion.  She applies artistic concepts such as reaction and rejection to her textile designs which can be seen throughout her main collections so far:  “Fresh Meat”, “Traces of the Future”, “Trout with Lentils” and “Boar’s Head”. These collections have appeared on international, such as the Bogotá Fashion Week, and spanish catwalks, including ModaFAD (Barcelona), Creamoda (Bilbao), South 36-32n (Cadiz).  Special mention should be made of her work being featured at the Ego Cibeles Fashion Week and Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week, in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
