Since it was founded, Arteleku has held numerous lithography workshops for artists, run by Don Herbert. This year, will provide an introduction to lithographic techniques course coordinated by Iñaki Rifaterra, who will apply the methodology developed by Don Herbert.  During this workshop,  the participant  will work throughout the editing process. Him or herself will carry out the tasks of: preparing the paper, cleaning and mounting the study, chemical treatment of the original, and the engraving itself.

Biography

Iñaki Rifaterra,  trained in lithography printing under the master of that art, Don Herbert.  Apart from lithography, Iñaki Rifaterra has studied different graphic methods. The manual repetition of images has always been his driving force throughout his career, from stencils to lithography and not forgetting the different disciplines of engraving, linoleum, woodcuts, copper based printing, etc

Application Form:
The application shall be sent to Arteleku, before Jun 20th, by means of submitting the registration form, curriculum vitae, and photographs or slides in colour of the work in question, indicating its size.
The selection process shall be carried out by the person running the workshop. Admission to the course will be notified personally.
On the first day, the participants will have to show the Kutxa paying-slip, account number: 2101/0381/07/000132947/3.
The cost of the material will be funded by Arteleku within a limit established by the workshop manager.

Use of the Workshop

The Professional Edition workshop is open and available to people with knowledge of the technique of lithography for the development of artistic projects.
